Site slow again

The site seems to have gone very slow again over the past half an hour. Is there work being done to the servers or something because it isn't normally this slow. 
Other sites are still as fast so it isn't my connection either. (BTYahoo! 2MB ADSL, North Devon)
I've noticed the top header bar appears quite quickly, but then I am waiting for the rest of the page and the actual forum content to load.
Any ideas?

having major probs as well and i work for the government so our broadband is huge major slow down and keep getting the white page saying it can find the webpage and when u refresh it its comes up .....Savings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580

Could be the Broadband is slow in my area with lots of users online...? I'm the only one using the internet at the mo here so there isn't any other bandwidth usage...0
