He said that the £99.995 deal was for region 2 model only (hence lower price)...but didn't seem to relaise that the price has now been raised to £149.95!!!
Good to see price standardisation across the company!!!
Can I ask which one is your local? Gives me something to go back with, dont mind paying £120 if its multi-region as well.0 -
I'll let you know the branch by tomorrow lunch!
I'm speaking to my wife tonight about buying one at this (albeit higher) price - my worry is that if you're going to use this branch's price as leverage to get another branch to match then it may well be that they'll simply bosh the £1199.99 price for me.0 -
Hi again
I used the Glasgow branch to get the multiregion for £99 today.
Hope this helps0 -
Great call hkt7383 (don't suppose you have a salesperson's contact name there?)
in the spirit of your post I'll now let it out that it was the London Swiss Cottage branch that's selling the multi region for £119.990 -
I've called the customer service again and asked if they will price match themselves!! lol Needless to say they will and I've asked them to match the £99 price at Glasgow, waiting for the web team to confirm then hopefully that'll be the price!
If you need to contact the web team to do the same and place your order then the number is: 0207 551 53550 -
Hi

After finally receiving a response from the web team they told me its up to customer services to match the price (sorry, but this is a useless company!). Anyway, I told them about the £99 Glasgow price for them to match, once they got back to me they advised this was no longer the price and its back up to £149.95. Does anybody know of any of Richer Sounds store that offer it lower than the web £149 price? If so please let me know so that hopefully I can get a price match done today and it finally ordered!0 -
This offer is now back on line for £79.95 (single region)!

I'd rather pay double than buy from Richer Sounds to be honest with you. For some reason they look a bit dodgy of a company. :eek:Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

Richer Sounds is a very reputable company. They even have (or at least had) the Guinness World Record for most sales per cubic foot (a store in the City somewheere).
However, this deal is probably a waste of £80 if you are ever going to get a good TV etc.
There is no component output (so you wont get the pic quality to go with your decent TV) and no optical in, so you cant get 5.1 out of anything else (like an Xbox etc)Be nice0
