Jvc THS33R DVD Home Cinema £79.95 DivX (merged)

Single Region now at £79.95 !!

Looks like a very good offer to me from Richer Sounds.

Jvc THS33R (DVD package system - inc tallboy speakers)

303009.jpg

For a slick, highly featured home cinema system, the JVC THS33 ticks all the right boxes.

This up-to-the-minute machine will play the latest formats including the ever popular DivX. Dolby Digital, DTS and ProLogic II decoders are all built-in, and the amplifier provides a respectable 33w per channel.

Thanks to a 12-bit video D/A converter the picture quality is a step-up on the class standard. Detail is precise and colour realistic and full of life.

Complementing the picture quality is the superior sound. With a 192kHz/24-bit audio D/A converter, the sound is crisp and precise. The five, magnetically shielded, satellite speakers provide a spacious staging, leaving the subwoofer to fill in the bassline with a strong presence.

Stylish, floorstanding speakers compliment an equally stylish main unit and, as you'd expect from a premium brand, the operational aspect of the unit is always slick.

As a good-looking and equally well performing system, JVC's THS33R is one for the short list.

    Now showing as £149.95

    Not such a bargain !!!!!
  • I just made contact with their customer services as if you do the search on kelkoo it shows at the original offer price of £99.95. He couldnt explain the difference but the price now is the £149.95 shown, but he also advised I contact their websit team and ask them if I can purchase at the £99.95, not the new price of £149.95 - worth asking at least...... just sent the email now.

Thought I'd have a sniff around for a review. This review here...

    http://audiovisual.kelkoo.co.uk/b/a/prl_14525536/126701.html

....suggests that Richer were selling these instore at £119 on (or around) 12 Dec, so I'd imagine that £99.99 is still achievable in store.
  • Customer service guy said on the phone if you see the system anywhere else cheaper then they match/beat that price, worth a little hunt around for one now...... I just dont want to pay the £149.95 if I dont have to.

unfortunately this is quite a bad offer, even if it was at £99.95... as i saw this 3 weeks ago but did not buy it.... basically it does not have any inputs, only outputs.... so that means u cannot connect your satellite, cable box, vhs, dab radio, etc to this... can only use the dvd drive to play dvd movies or audio cds for surround sound....

    Hi twe,

It does have one input via the TV using the scart audio out (supported by some TVs, mine Sony 32" does). So you get whatever the TV is tuned to Sky, Cable etc.
But yes, it does not have any other inputs . . . .
