Fixed Rate Account To Which You Can Add Funds

Does anybody know if there are any fixed rate accounts which could be opened now (to guarantee the rate), and then have more funds added next year?
(Seems pretty unlikely to me, but I thought I'd ask just in case!)

Are you sure? I was looking at those just before I posted, and it says "Each issue of this type of bond has a limited amount of money that can be invested in it, so we urge you to invest before the issue is fully subscribed", which to me implies that there'll be a cutoff point after which no more money can be added.Stompa0 -

Thanks, that sounds ideal, though I doubt I could fund it in time to beat the deadline.Stompa0 -
What about the "Halifax Guaranteed Saver Reward" at 6% ?
http://www.halifax.co.uk/savings/guaranteedsaverreward.asp
But you need to have a "qualifying account", such as a current account with them and deposit £1000 a month into the qaulifying account for the next 12 months - shouldn't be a problem if you just cycle it in and out.
You have to have the minimum £2500 in the account for the whole 12 months, but it sounds like you can add money to it any time during the 12 months.- Minimum/maximum balance - £2,500 up to £9,999,999
- Withdrawals - 4 withdrawals within the 12 month reward period
- Unlimited number of deposits into your Halifax Guaranteed Saver Reward.

halifax fixed saver reward 6% but you have to open a current account and transfer at least £1000 a month into the current account but it can be withdrawn straight away. It also looks like you can add to the savimngs account as well and you are allowed 4 withdraws0
