mandi_moles wrote:Hi !
We booked up with Haven at one of their cornwall sites. May cost us only £350 for a nice gold caravan !!
It was easy with the clubcard points, I phoned Haven, booked the holiday (paid a deposit tho as I really didnt want to lose out on seaveiw) sent off my clubcard vouchers to tesco and when they returned the deal vouchers posted them off (special delivery) to Haven ! easy as pie and as cheap as chips lol. Have fun looking for your holiday, UK hols with Haven etc are BOGOF compared to holidays abroad to you could manage on 1000 2 hols this year in the uk or 1 abroad :santa2:
Thanks for your reply Mandi moles
We would really like to try abroard if possible! A plane ride would be fab too! I'm 34 and never been on one! But think we will really struggle to get a plane ride for our money!
Would still be very happy with a holiday in another country via ferry though! And maybe keep saving the vouchers for a plane trip another time!

We have been to Disneyland Paris twice - to Davy Crockett Ranch and The Explorers hotel, both on Tesco clubcard vouchers.
First I decided where we wanted to go and rang up the travel company (that was Paris Travel/Bridge Travel) to see what sort of availabilty there was when we wanted to go - they told me the best weeks for availability.
Then I sent off the Teco clubcard vouchers, choosing Bridge Travel (seemed a bit crazy having vouchers to exchange in to other vouchers). I got the Bridge Travel vouchers back from Tesco in less than a week. I also rang Tesco to ask what would happen if there was no availability and they said they would convert the Bridge vouchers back to Tesco vouchers.
Then I rang Bridge Travel and booked the holiday, giving them the voucher numbers, and posted them off to Bridge.
Then finally a few days later, I got the booking confirmation!
I don't know if the procedures have changed since last year but that's how it was then, phew!0 -

Thanks Bernadette
Think i'll pop to a travel agents tomorrow to get a few brochures when the kids go back to school! So I can get a rough idea of prices!
I'm guessing from the responces that Disneyland is the cheapest option!
Thank you

Well done to you....and good luck for your holiday hunting. Personally I only have about £21 of vouchers so far, but have only really been collecting properly for the past 3 or 4 months. (Don't usually shop at Tesco regularly). Would be nice to have a holiday, but so far I'll have to settle for a trip to Thorpe Park.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

We used to save ours for Tussaurds (sp) season tickets, but they no longer offer that at Tesco! So we have been saving for a holiday since!
Good luck with your point collecting!

I'm going to use my points over the summer time for various activities. What I do with them depends on how many I have come June time. OH has £7 also, which is a Thorpe Park trip for all 4 of us (if you combine our vouchers). Next target is to get enough for some Megabowl Bowling. However, if I get more by that time....I may change tack.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

When I did disneylandparis a couple of years ago Cresta and Brigde did very good deals in Feb half term. We got one child free and also booked a wild west show with meal all for 174.00 in tesco tokens. if you have 3 kids the explorer hotel is a good choice because it caters for the larger family. Also in Feb the buses are not so busy. This was for 2 nights and 3 days flying from Birmingham. Wrap up warm and you will have a great time. But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more0 -
I wish I could use clubcard points for this. I only get about £3 a year on them

The thought of flying is great!!!!!
Will be straight for a brochure when the kids are in school tomorrow...might be brave and ask in the travel agents too....or is it best to book direct with cresta etc?
Thanks

No-one has yet mentioned Cosmos will take your CC vouchers too.
£1000 will get you most of the cost of a week for 5 somewhere hot, via a plane journey.
You can't do last minute deals as you get charged the full brochure price when they find you want to pay with CC vouchers...but still free as you didn't pay for the vouchers! I know this is true of Cosmos and Tradewinds, but don't know about Cresta and co.
Don't forget you can get extra points with a tesco credit card, plus extra goods in store, loads of vouchers on the vouchers board for extra tesco points. Tesco often do promos as well on their finance products (which can be worth it on some of their policies) and tesco.com have done points deals on DVDs, books and the rest of their range over the past year.
Here's a good place to start hunting if you want to get some more points. And don't forget the mailings are in Feb, May, Aug, Nov. It helps so you know when to expect the final windfall of vouchers before you book.
