  • i need to be mega organised this month as have bought hardly any pressies, only a few bits for Erin... and everything i need, i need to get out of this wage on wednesday... as next one isn't until Xmas eve... and what good is that to anyone! especially if you are working..!

It will be a fairly quiet Xmas for us, my mum is going down to spend it with her brother as he is widowed too, so it will just be the 3 of us... the thing is big g thinks that it's okay just to watch his normal tv programmes on xmas day, like bloody gone fishing and great rod race etc etc, which is not the kinda telly you want when sitting down on xmas day.......

what is everyone getting their kids for xmas anyway?

sorry Lucifa only just seen this, Qype is a review site where you review restaurants, pubs, etc etc. once you've done 50 they will send you a £50 amazon voucher. Not to sure if the offer is still on as it was a week or so ago now but worth looking at for any future offers!

Maz I have no clue this year... To be honest they need nothing! I have asked them and they don't even know what they want... well thats not strictly true Marshall has asked for a wii game but thats all that he could think off. But whatever happens they aren't getting the huge pile of crud I used to buy you know the kind of stuff they really really want... that you find the following year unopened! like the Ant Farm DS1 just had to have....which is still in the box !!!!

  • Erin was playing Abba Singstar on my nephews PS2 a couple of weeks ago and loved it, so she is getting that, and it will be a real surprise too as she hasn't asked for it. (we already have a much neglected PS2)

She also wants a sofabed for her room, and a pink mobile phone.... now you might think she is young to have a phone, but we live in a little village where the kids play outside a lot, and i find her having a phone that i can get her on is invaluable... she has an old phone of my mums, a right ole brick at the moment, and we said provided she looked after that one, and didn't spend a fortune on credit then she would get a girlie one for xmas.... she can't text, and only phones the programmed numbers, i.e. house/mum/dad/nana so she is really very good with it....

looking for a cheap PAYG in pink which would be compatible with O2 sim she already has.... not that changing numbers would be an isssue as she only has 4 contacts!!

  • Going back to advent calendars, my mam used to make us the best advent calendars ever! One year she used the big egg box tray things, painted them all up and wrapped ribbon across and down it so it looked like a square present, then filled each of the 24 egg pockets with a chocolate or a little present. Another year she found branches that looked like little trees, painted them white and fixed them in a decorated pot and hung 24 chocolate moneys from the twigs. They were soooo lovely and prestty MSE too- just time consuming lol. Actually, I think I'll give her a ring and make sure she's almost finished this year's... it doesn't matter that I'm 27 does it...
