  • Good morning all and welcome to any newbies :hello:

Feeling very low this morning, well for a few days really, thinking a lot about my parents, must be because it's nearly Christmas. Dad died in1992 and Mum last year though, so a bit odd. May be because I think I'll be OK to go back to work on Monday and I really am not looking forward to it. My work colleague (who is also a good friend but I bad workmate coz she doesn't switch off) called the other day and DS told her I was having my dinner. I didn't call back. She would be calling to ask how I was, but then would end up talking about work. I don't want to think about it until Monday. Technically, I suppose I should have appointments arranged for Monday, but if I'm off sick, I don't see why I should be making calls now. It can wait for Monday morning, I'll get my laptop back and start making calls at 9.00!

    Polkadot -
That was beautiful and very moving. Good luck with whatever challenge you find, and if you ever travel in my direction, let me know and we can arrange a meet here!

Michelle - Hope all is well.

    So far today:

 I'm here and just about alive! This morning all I've done is got the kids up, breakfasted and off to school. Then came home had something to eat, changed the baby and took my brother to his day centre thing...whilst I was out I bought a new filofax diary for next year and then went to the bank to pay a cheque in. And then I've sat down, read a couple of books to DD2 and had a coffee!

So I've done a couple of things but I have loads more to do. I really want to get the downstairs floors sorted today before I go out to get the child I'm watching this afternoon. Would love for him and my three to be able to run around with no fear of stepping on anything!

I think if I do 15 mins each in the lounge, kitchen, conservatory and study and have a break between each one by 1pm I should be fairly well sorted and ready for lunch.

Hugs to those who need them :)

I am working BUT I am also defragging and scanning for viruses and keep hitting a problem.
Thanks for the heads up on the VAT Kaz still confused as I have PAID for goods/services to be delivered after the change...am hoping for (and would be pleased with) a free bottle of wine as opposed to a refund which would involve me giving out pennies.
Fortunately no-one at work has twigged yet so I'm ahead on this one...(as well as the in house IT expert with special skills in excel I'm the tax expert too - it's the old saying...in the land of the blind men the one eyed man is king...)
Bathroom cleaned - just about to flick through the kitchen and mop the floors then.
    See you shortly

Morning everyone, i still haven't managed to catch up on the thread. Been a nightmare here all week.

    Monday Both DS1 & 2 off school.
    Tuesday DS1 off school.
Wednesday DD swallows a big grape and choked, off course i'm in my course and have no car cause hubby's away in it and he has no mobile with him. MIL has no car cause FIL away to mart in it. Head teacher comes and lifts MIL and by then FIL is back so lift DD then lift me and away to hospital, thankfully she managed to bring the grape back up again and didn't need to go to the bigger hospital, they had said that if she didn't bring it up soon it would be a trip to get an operation to get it out.
Today DS2 throws up in the car on the way to school so he is now sleeping on the sofa. Hubby not feeling great and is in bed now too.

I really am dreading what tomorrow brings. Need to get lots of messages done in town but it will have to wait until i work out who's going where or if my sister lands up. Car has been cleaned out so at least thats one job done, WM on and TD. Have no washing up stuff so can't get the dishes done, no firelighters so can't get the fire lit.

Right need a cuppa and some breakkie.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Spent my HHC in kids room.
    I managed to
Clear top of the toy box
Put books from under bed onto the shelf in the new wardrobe
Put all unhomed toys into the toy box
    Made beds
    Put some clothes away

Floor is now clear in there, shouldnt take to much to keep it tidy in there, its only a small room so everything NEEDS it's own place.

Need to take the baskets from living room up there so I can have storage under their beds, that'll help out alot.
Also need to get rid of all the bags I've sorted for charity, then I'll be able to see where I am going.
Need to rehome some stuff from spare room, then I can get everything put away thats meant to be in there.

Phew.... I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
