Toottifrootti – Thank you. Doing up the house is mad; it only looks like we’ve done the kitchen and living room! The house was stuck in a time warp. We’ve done a lot of hidden stuff like heating and electrics (the wires were furry!). Have a fab time at your Aunts
:grouphug: to all who would like/needs one. ( is it just me or does this symbol look dodgy!)
pmsl at your comment - it does a bit right enough - but its only when someone points these these out that you realise - then again does it take a twisted/dirty mind to spot it!!!! only joking - hope you didnt rtake offence!!!

It doesn't come naturally to her, but she tries hard and perseveres until it's done. It's due in today and she's lost it. We searched high and low for it last night and couldn't find it. So I think she must have lost it at school. It makes me sad to see her struggle.
This sounds like my son too. We have just had him assessed privately and he has fairly bad dyslexia. His "type" is sequencing problems and his working memory is very poor. County education now involved and tested him differently and arrived at the same results.
eg instructions you receive you put on a mental shelf for quick acess - for him more than 2 means they all fall off the shelf - result high emotions either tears or anger and no idea what the instruction was..
We are "lucky" in that his school has been supportive & helpful and teaching staff are trying various strategies to help, including helping me to help him.
I'd suggest you go back to the class teacher and ask for a meeting with the SENCO. Has DD an IEP in place?
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

So, I'm really pleased. It's a long haul though.... but if I admit to DH that I'm quite enjoying the challenge he'll only start being negative... men - contrary? - Never!!! So, my strategy is to be worried, and stressed about it when talking to my DH, (which in turn makes him very supportive of me) and report all my successes to you lot!! Hope that's ok!! exellent idea ...love the way you get hubby to do what you want:rotfl: :rotfl:
Gryfon Love the idea of the 15s. Hope the back doc is ok. For your DH... what about writing a haiku? My DH loves them... particularly after I explained what one was!! and he realised how much effort is required to write those 3 lines!!! if you have not already explained this can you do so to me -never heard of it and I am tooooooo [STRIKE]lazy[/STRIKE] busy to google it!
Ok, gotta run to friend's house for coffee... much cheaper than going out for lunch.... did I mention I'm on a budget!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:no I dont think you did - please keep mentioning it - it is helping me too!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Oh, and the other thing I've done today is to apply for a 0% for 16 months Virgin credit card, so I can balance transfer hideous rated CC to that. Did it online, and was accepted straightaway! woohoo! Someone remind me to cut up the card as soon as it arrives though please!

I am not a happy bunny, the £5 gas on the meter that was put on yesterday has run out. My new card has not arrived and they told me that it was being posted 1st class yesterday.
I have been with them for 3 months and hate them, can I go back to British Gas or do I have to stay with these.
hope you have got your new card and got it sorted now.

OK. My HHC turned into an hour and a half. I've cleaned our bedroom carpet, landing and stairs carpet on my hands and knees. It's such awful cheap stuff the vac doesn't pick up very well, Done some more tidying in my bedroom, washed and blow dried my hair and put my face on. Just scoffing my dinner then change and college.
