We tried other stuff nothing works.. the gp wants me on PERMANENT anti-inflammatories and DG's .. no chance.. SO it is pointless going.. they do NOT know best.. I would probably not feel quite so chronic if I lost 3 stone but heyho I like my cake and I'll eat it!
My GP still tells me to lose weight, but knows I won't  . However, although I don't get as much exercise as I used to (at one point I spent up to 10 hours a week at pilates/yoga/swimming/body balance/workouts, which really got me sorted after coming off the pills), I still try to make sure that if I start having symptoms I get back to exercising. And I see definite benefits when I eat properly (I don't get on with sugar, it's bad for my digestionAND it makes me more sensitive to pain).
I have found a combination of eating a diet with LOTS of vegetables in it, getting plenty of various kinds of exercise (running round after your kids/menagerie probably counts as part of this), cutting down on booze, sports massage, physio (particularly hydrotherapy), saunas, hot baths, hot water bottles, yoga, pilates and TENS means that I can manage without pain relief most of the time. Water is probably the best relief for me, and if I'm not well enough to swim, I go to the nice warm hydro poolI'm sure you can find a solution that doesn't mean melting your brain & f***ing up your body with long-term pain relief...
... try yogi tea as an anti-inflammatory. The cinnamon one will probably be most effective, but they've all got the relevant spices in...
... so now you know, if you don't do something about it I will BORE you into giving in :rotfl:0 -
Popped in to catch up because I have finished my planning AND watched Spooks...well done the BBC for spending my licence money on serious eye candy!
And I have washed the pots AND PUT THEM AWAY... 'tis truly the season of miracles...
Now apparently some planet has dropped into another star sign for 16 years with serious financial influences...well that's Bl***** brilliant I bet my pension ends up meagre AND I'll be wanting it in about 16 years (I intend to take VERY early retirement).
Good luck ODDJOB for tomorrow...nice to see the kids so clean LOL
Sweet dreams all X

If I may interject somewhat.. those clips on dungarees... if you nip them together quite close they become REALLY hard for little people to undo... you just need to make sure that when you are undressing them you don't punch them in the face... the voice of experience.. in both counts!!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: OMG, PMSL, i have done this!!!!!!!!!!!(so glad i'm not the only one)',back to catch up now, still laughing!!!!0 -
greenbee thank you for giving my self confidence a boost this evening. My DP has that, has 3 cards for him he insisted on having back after I cleared them, owed 10k again within a year!Gets plenty of pocket money as I get a set amount of him towards bills then the rest/ot is his, I take about 1/2-2/3 of what he gets. He's not supposed to use that card! However I have found out it's because it's a company he uses regular and they had saved the details, so I am more annoyed! Going to yell at them tomorrow and cancel the card!
pigpen ((hugs)) from someone else who they can do little for apart from major surgery so just lives on meds, sachets, pills, etc, not fun. I know how frustrating it is and I know he's joking but when DP says 'if you were an animal they'd have put you down' I know in a way, he's right. I try not to take the meds but sometimes I have to give in. Not allowed any more today and it's not good, hence I am in bed as DP is out, safer
kaz well done, and wow with the cuppa!

:hello: Just off to bed I think. Got to get up early for the school run and I think the big glass of Bailey's I've had has gone straight to my head!
Also have the back doctor tomorrow and don't want to goBack isn't feeling too bad at the moment, just a bit tender but then it's always been tender for years now! Last time I saw him he tried acupuncture and a deep steroid injection but tbh I don't think they made much difference. And anyway the injection really hurt and I'm petrified of having it again as I didn't realise how close it went to my spinal cord which is one reason I never asked for an epidural, and the acupuncture was really uncomfortable. Think he's just going to tell me to loose weight, tone up and possibly go to a physio or osteopath but I can't afford either of those  Oh joy of joys!
Managed to scrape through today though, lounge is slightly better than it was after the children hit, kitchen is passable just about and I managed 3 loads of washing and 3 dishwasher loads!
Night all!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
