I have! I lived in Halliwell. Still have family there...Kenyon...

I actually left at 18 months but went back frequently to visit relations.

Now I just tell folk I come from the same place as a certain P. Kay... and I used to impress people with my 'impression' of Bubble (Jane Horrocks) from Absolutely Fabulous..well all I did was revert to the accent of my youth;)

I went on a food tasting a few weeks back. I had to test 'Uncle Joe's Mint Balls'...Wigan's finest...

and I have brought up two kids who are mad keen on sarsaparilla tablets...:rotfl:

Awww thinking of Mike Harding http://www.uncle-joes.com/index.cgi?action=page&pageno=4 got the tune in my head, amazing innit, how small the world is.

Funny thing is Triker when I have been on the East Coast I have really missed the hills... I'm ok here here cos it's hilly...but I don't like walking up and down the damn things. My grandma could see Pendle Hill from her house (spiritual home methinks) and never shut up about it. How come you went over to the other side (you know the war of the Roses ...some folk round here behave like it's still on sometimes...doesn't stop 'em going to Meadowhall though!)

You reminded me of when I was pregnant with Miss A, didn't know what flavour she was going to be, DH threatened to dump me over border into Yorkshire so she would be eligible to bowl for YCC if she was a boy :rotfl: As it was she was born (well they both were) a Derby Tup

I just checked my diary... I have a 10 minute presentation to do.. on Monday... oops.. think I may have to postpone for a week.. where has this year gone?!?!?! All I can think is that I must have been enjoying myself greatly!

You're going to have to practise because although you rabbit like a rabbit thing actually 'standing there talking for ten minutes'.........takes about 3 hours in real time :D or at least that's what it feels like:rotfl:

He saw Father Christmas today at the the Christmas Fair and when asked what he wanted he said a train set. He came out and unwrapped his present to find a Scooby Doo pencil case with bits n bobs to go inside, he was NOT impressed! So much so that he burst into tears saying 'I wanted a train set'. Would not be consoled at all and he and Miss A were first kids in to see FC!

Oh yeah and he knew that it wasn't the real FC and was telling me this as I was bundling him out the door before the other kids could hear :rotfl:

Obviously - cos the real one would have given him the train set...
but he HAS to have deputies he is VERY BUSY right now - were it not for the time zones he would NOT make his rounds on xmas eve... (as I told Y4 boy about 3 years ago when I was asked how FC gets right round the whole world in one night. And he only goes to families/children who celebrate xmas...which isn't everyone. Serious nodding...thankyou ...teacher sighed with relief...)

Couldn't agree more, Miss A was told something very similar a couple of years ago when she recognised this FC as her adoptive GF! Think he was more upset at being recognised than she was.
