I've doen a bit of research, and according to today's Daily Mail website, Gift Vouchers will be honoured for the time being:

Woolworths 'saved from High Street scrap heap' with hope of keeping all 815 stores open
"...Deloitte said: 'Our expectation is that all stores will remain open through the Christmas trading and that all staff will remain in place and continue to be paid.
'We can also reassure customers that we will be honouring all Woolworths' gift vouchers.'"
(Deloitte is the firm in charge of the administration)

Whether staff are all aware of this policy is a different matter - but definitely worth pushing it if you are refused.

Vouchers purchased recently now have an expiry date on them. But I had a couple bought 3 years ago that I found in the back of a drawer and there is no 'use by' date.

Spent them all today with no problem.

That is worrying as I have a Woolworths refund card with quite a bit on it. I don't see on what grounds they can refuse to accept refund cards they have issued themselves?

Does anyone know the official policy so that I can go armed when I try to spend mine?
Despite my fears I had no problems at all spending my refund card and some vouchers today. I was given my change in cash:D

To be honest I wouldnt take any chances - use your vouchers to buy gifts asap. A financial lady on the TV earlier in the week suggested just this.
    NEVER ASSUME!

I went to our woolies yesterday and there wasn't much stock so i wonder if they are not restocking? Am waiting for dad to send me the vouchers he got for my kiddies, then i will buy some clothes i think as they had hardly any games or dvds etc.
