Maybe this break will do me good to think a bit about ME and what I want. I have an urge to write a plan or something for the next few years of my life, where I want to be etc.
I find I think too much about what I have lost and what I no longer have and maybe now is a time to think about what I want in the future if that makes sense.
Sounds like a good idea looking forward is always better than looking back and its more exciting who knows what good things are around the next corner.
You are doing well.

I am so glad everything has turned around for you. I think that the next few days will fly by for you. The move sounds like a good idea and i am sure your mum will be a great support.xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Hi Doodledoo - I know it is hard sharing your DD with your ex etc - I do like your idea tho of making a plan for the next few years and giving yourself some positive things to aim for. That sounds good - build "me" time in there as well as "mum and DD" time....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Just popped in for a catch up
Hun, don't be so hard on yourself. Firstly I think you need to 'grieve' any loss, whether it be a person or a relationship, even when deep down you know it may not have been the right relationship to be in anymore - you're entitled to do that and I think it's very important for people to honour any type of grief.
Putting the house on the market and all the HIP stuff is just final confirmation of everything that's been going on - and you've probably been so busy actually doing all that stuff - you've not had the time to actually get used to any of it.
I think its fab to be able to look forward and it sounds like you're being really positive, but don't be so hard on yourself for being sad about what happened. You've been taking your time to get over what is such a difficult thing to go through - and that will stand you in a great place for the future, you'll know you took the time to get over it - rather than pretend ..... and it bite you in the backside in years to come! xLBM - 17th November 2008 - better late than never

Well another hectic week here in the Doodledo household. The house is now on the market and I am sitting waiting for a hundred phonecalls telling me about potential buyers lol. I know it will be a slow process but I just want at least one viewer this week lol.
I had my new downstairs toilet suite fitted yesterday so thats another room finished. All i have left to do is carpet the dining room so waiting for my brother in law to pop round and do that and then its all done.
I am trying my hardest to keep on top of the housework as I have told the agents I don't need more than about an hours notice before any viewings. I said an hour as it gives me or my parents chance to pop in if I am at work and get rid of Ruby and check she hasn't left any presents on her papers lol.
DD came back yesterday and is poorlyso she is now curled up in her duvet on the sofa. I think she is just exhausted to be honest so we are having a chilled out day today watching Spongebob so hopefullys he can go to school tomorrow.
So cross with Ex he was meant to bring her back mid afternoon yesterday as I was going out and DD was going to stay with my Mum. He turns up at 8pm
He has also managed to lose her favourite teddy which she has had since the day she was born :mad:Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712
