Well it has been ages since I have updated this, tut tut. Life is pretty chaotic in the doodledo household at the moment but positive steps are being made towards my new life.
My bathroom is done and looks fab, I have almost finished my bedroom which looks fab too and my poor ol' dad is plodding on with the kitchen which looks anything but fab at the moment lol as the majority of it is sat in my living room.
I have started moving my stuff out of the house so that the house is as decluttered and serene as possible for when it goes on the market. My wonderful parents are letting me use their garage so everytime I go to theirs I am taking a load of stuff to put in there till I get my own place.
If the weather stays as nice as it has been this week then me and mum are doing a car boot sale on Sunday to get rid of some bits and hopefully a few pennies in my pocket.
My DD started BIG school this week as those of you on my Facebook will have seen. It was a wonderful moment and I blubbed liked a baby but she is loving it and already has an invite round someones house for tea. What does it say about my life when my 4 year old has a better social life than me lol.
On the bloke front not a huge amount happening and to be honest I am cool with that. There is so much going on in my life I don't think I am ready to give someone and a relationship the time it needs. I am putting it all on the back burner until I am settled in my new place and then I will be on a mission to find my Prince Charming lol.
Got the girls round tonight for nibbles and wine as my DD is at a sleep over. I intend to get slightly merry and have a good old gossipProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Hi doodledoo - sounds like you are really getting things sorted. We've always put (a lot of our) stuff in storage when we've put the house on the market. We are not naturally tidy and it is the only way to get the minimilist look required! Hope you have a really fun girly night tonight too! Is your plan to sell your house and buy another smaller one or are you planning to rent for a while or what? Just being nosy!
Have fun!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks for popping in SA feel free to be nosey as I do the same lol.
Plan is to rent for a while and save like a woman possessed to increase my lump sum ready to buy a new place. ALthough I earn a decent salary on my own a mortgage would be hard to get so although I hate the thought of renting I think it will be right for me.
My parents have offered for me to move in to theirs and even to convert their garage into a second lounge for me and Hannah. Although financially it would be fantastic I really want a proper "normal" home for me and my DD after all we have been through.

As much as I love my parents I couldn't live with them lol.
I will walk away from the house with quite a nice lump sum even after my debts are paid. One fortunate thing is we bought when the houses were vvvvv cheap but I know that the bigger deposit I have the better so I will need to convert from a debt free wannabe to a secret savings squirrel lolProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Well i will definately want to still post on here if everyone will have me lol.
I mean the principles will be the same but rather than the extra money being ploughed on to my debts it will be put into an ISA or similar. I am embarassed to admit I will have to look into how you save, what accounts to use etc as something I have never ever done lolProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

DD has just gone off to her daddys. I think I am finally coming to terms with her leaving now and I am taking advantage of the "me" time I can have now.
Going to venture into my loft soon for some bits for the car boot but just enjoying a peaceful half an hour with a coffee.
Really need to start doing some useful money making on the net as I have let all those things slip. Have stopped ebaying for now as my house is chaos with all the decorating and I have little spare time now so I don't want to risk the bad feedback. I have no excuse however, not to do the smaller online things such as quidco and dooyoo which I have let slip.
I am in a bit of a lull where I know at the back of my mind that my debt will be cleared once the house is sold but I need to get out of this mindset as there is every chance it may take several months to sell and I will kick myself if I waste months of potential debt busting.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

just think if u clear what you can of the debt, as you go, then once the house sells, you'll have more of a deposit to put to your next place, and wont have to use as much of it toward paying off the debts....Wealth is not measured by currency0
