Since my last 'deep clean' it has not turned itself off but twice yesterday would not come to life when I toched the mouse/keyboard after having not used it for an hour or so. Is this part of the basic problem or something separate I can do something else about??

No not yet as I have been diagnosed with RSI (see separate thread) and trying to give my PC a miss for a time.

It's on my to do list but not very high and I have spare PC and my laptop. But I will get around to a closer look.
