If your console asks you to manually assign the DNS address (or any other details) then the WEP or WPA key has been entered wrongly. Double check it, they are case sensitive, if there are caps, use caps etc.. once you enter the key correctly, the console will be given all the info it needs from the router.0

Hmmmmm tbh i just went into the Wii Settings, selected that i wanted wireless, it asked me for my pass key, entered it, job was done!
Dont think i actually had to do anything else. :-/ sorry0
