Have the cd from son who is abroard at present, and need to fix my comp, wrote the number on paper and now can't find it,(being an OAP with brain damage.lol well thats what I call it )Can any one help with a key number to fix it please, I'd be very gratefull,thanks in advance .

So what you are saying is that the Operating System of the Computer is bad/damaged in some way and the PC isnt running smooth.. are you by any chance running XP.

Hopefully the licence number you require will be stuck to the computer somewhere.
It is sort of holographic and will have a product key down the middle to type in when you re-install.
Make sure you sav important files/documents from your machine before you attempt to re-install as everything will be wiped.
All bookmarks in your browser i.e. this forum and any passwords for internet access/e-mail accounts.
