Has anyone received their term deposit certifcate this week?
I haven't got mine yet. Application received by Clydesdale on 12th Nov, account opened on 18th Nov (confirmed by me phoning them). No certificate yet.0 -
Anyone got their certificate this week?0

Not received yet, post hasn't been delivered today at this time though. It's to be hoped they start paying interest from when the cheque was either received or cleared! The ts & cs just state from "commencement date" which will be advised on the certificate as far as I can determine.0

Yep I had their acknowledgement on 14th, which states that normally the cert goes out within4 working days of cheque presentation. Funds were debited from my account the following day. I phoned them on 25th query where the cert was & a pleasant enough Scots lady informed me that due to inundation they'd take a further 'week to 10 days' to clear the backlog. She confirmed my 2 year rate I applied for.
So no worries.:cool:0 -
My certificate came today! BUT I had to chase it up yesterday again.
When I phoned the term deposit department yesterday, the lady I spoke to confirmed that the "Admin" department had a backlog but that she would send them an "urgent" request to generate the certificate. I asked her if there was any reason why she couldn't do it herself and she immediately said that she would do it herself and send it to me by 1st class post. I must admit I was a little bit dubious, but lo and behold it's arrived today and all details are correct.0 -
Still waiting for mine. Account opened 26th Nov (told interest runs from this date too), cheque processed 28th Nov, called 4th Dec, told there was a massive backlog but that would try and get mine out in the next 'couple of days'. Still waiting for it, might be in post when I get home this evening though.0

I'll expect to see it next year then!0

Just used the freephone and found that tomorrow rates are dropping to 4%.Order an application form tonight and you have 14 days in which to reply-not a bad deal!
The phone goes down at 8pm so be quick.0 -

Not received cert. yet. 'Phoned them Monday and was advised there is a massive backlog and not to expect said cert. for possibly a couple of weeks!
However, the lady confirmed the interest, as Mallowgirl's post, would be backdated. I'm not too concerned because I have the acknowledgement letter of application 20th Nov. plus statement showing cheque debit.0 -
Yorshire Bank:
Telephoned them to say 'Hold that account, I am applying..' 11/11: They said 'Name registered; account rate held available til 28th Nov for people registering intent'

Nice lady say 'Soz...buried in applications- take another week to 10days...'
