my laptop did this, it was due to overheating.
i had to put some books under mine to give ot a few inches clearance underneath the thing. seemed to work ok then
are we allowed to say inches? better cover myself, 7 centimeters0 -

Take a look in the fan folks - if it's covered in dust, it probably just needs a clean..... and the best thing for that is a can of "spray air" (or failing that the MSE way is to use a drinking straw and blow as hard as you can) - best to do either outside as there's usually tons of stuff comes out.There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
