:cuddle: because it sounds like you need one
Definitely head for the beach, I would kill to live in Cornwall and cherish my yearly visit down there, mostly becasue of the coastline. I imagine it's lovely down there at this time of year (fewer tourists). Could you offload the kids for a few hours and visit one of the gorgeous little costal resorts for a walk/afternoon tea
Not sure what you mean by cheap and whether you *do* horses, but I would also kill to be able to ride along the beach in cornwall (never seem to get the time when we are down there). Something about horses = escape to me
But given that I live in one of the most land locked parts of the country...when I need to escape, I bake (not for any reason, just because); have a nice hot bath with a trashy magazine and cup of tea; dig out a book I haven't read for ages; arrange a film/comedy DVD and date night with OH with a cheapy bottle of wine; walk in the local woods with the dog and naval gaze0 -
If its a sweet treat and your fed up of chocholate, a microwave treacle sponge pudding is very quick to make:
4oz margarine
4oz sugar - just use granulated
4oz SR flour
1 egg
Mix it all together well.
Put a couple of tblsp of golden syrup in the bottom of a pudding bowl
Empty the cake mix on top and bung in the microwave for about four minutes
You can always heat a little more golden syrup up and pour over if there isn't enough with the pudding.
More substantial than chocholate.
If its about getting out I vote for a walk in the country, beach or park. Wherever is convenient.
