  • This is an old thread but maybe someone is still out there?

I have tried the advice and have replaced the PRV but water still comes down from inside my triton shower unit. It does not come down the clear plastic tube.

Hi i know this is a really old thread but i have water leaking down from the shower box unit. I have a Mira (glass box ones). This has only just started happening but got worst in last few days dripping all the time know. I am going to see if i can try and fix it from this thread but how will i know if its safe to use? Im a mum and if i can't fix who should i get a electrician or a plumber? Also any idea how much they would cost to look at a shower? Im a bit scared to tackle it myself. Thanks for all your help.
  • Hello, I'm new to this site. Thank you all for your advice and tips.
I'm a retired widow and just been told by a "rated" plumber that leaking shower units usually mean total replacement! I'll see what I can do :0)

If it's the pressure relief valve (normally under the heater or on the pipe to the hose) then this can be replaced, anything else inside the shower that is leaking normally isn't cost effective to repair & a new shower is the best way to go.
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.
