Thanks I have always wanted to go to Anglesey. I love to see some of the castles, I gather Wales as the highest proporation of castles anywhere in the world. Cheers0

goldentouch wrote:Best beach in the world... Barafundle. reached by foot along National Trust land. The NT do some beautiful SC cottages very close by. Think it's called Bosherston which also has lovely lily ponds.
Anywhere in Pembrokeshire is good - it's beautiful.
Here you go....

If you fancy Pembrokeshire try www.fbmholidays.co.uk
They do cottages for rent & usually work out cheaper than having a caravan.

ive stayed in presthaven sands loads of times which is a haven site.....you are close by to loads of things...like the sun centre in rhyl(swimming) and also conwy castle and llandudno....it doesnt usually work out too pricey either0

Another vote for Pembrokeshire - it knocks spots off Cornwall for unspoilt beauty and fantastic beaches. Tenby is a lovely place to stay on the 'gentler' south coast, but is probably the most commercialised town in Pembs. Come 'up north' if you want wild and stunning cliff scenery and totally deserted coves etc......mind you, I'm biased - I live here!

pembs is lovely
pity i didnt appreciate it when we lived there though lol,but is lovely to come "home" for holidays etc
your teenagers would love to go to heatherton http://www.heatherton.co.uk/ and oakwood http://www.oakwood-leisure.com/ also some nice boat trips to the islands etc0 -
Newport is famed for it's astonishingly clean rivers, incredibly polite and courteous motorists, and ultra modern city shopping experiences, packed with clean, tidy clothes shops with designer labels! Holiday here, and you're guaranteed a happy holiday!!!*
(*A happy holiday not actually guaranteed. In fact, disappointment almost certain.)
[For any die-hard Newport natives, the above is a light-hearted bit of fun, I live here, so it can't be all that bad, can it?]
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.0 -
we've just come back from a holiday in lovely fishguard and i cant reccomend it enough! we stayed on a really small caravan site there run by 'howells leisure' and you pay for the vans per van (as opposed to per person)... the site is small and really clean, right in the middle of fishguard town, there is entertainment on site but we didnt bother with it much, and theres an outdoor swimming pool there, but there are only about 50 vans on site, and no big gangs of 'lads and lasses'... we're definitly going back next year, if not sooner! You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....
*I have done reading too*
*I have done geography as well*0
