why should changing your mortgage be a problem Money Mad? Or for that matter already having two credit cards?

I don't know thats what they said when I telephoned to see why I was declined. I thought it was an entry on my husband's file which he is disputing but when I asked them this they said all they have on their file was you haven't had your mortgage for long (had a mortgage for 7 years but changed it for a better deal in April) and you already have two credit cards. I didn't transfer the balances to this card maybe I should have done on the application. I did ask them should I transfer the balance and they said they can't do anything once the application has gone through. And to reapply in a few months time when I have had my mortgage for longer.

Hey do you think I should reapply and transfer over the balance from my credit card you never know!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't have any problem getting an M&S card. Certainly no phone calls to check up on me - although my credit rating is flawless.
