  • They are the manufacture date so ok to eat lol they are NOT out of date
  • The reason why we cannot take back unopened issued ration packs is that the troops MUST have enough food to sustain them. This does not include personal supplies.

    If there are ration packs left after an exercise to a stores person that means someone has gone hungry/not been fed and can mean the person responsible for issuing down can get into trouble for not taking care of the troops.

    We cannot expect people to take out personal food and we prefer them to eat the rations as it contains more of the essential ingredients needed than said noodles etc.

    It can also be a dreaded health and safety issue as if you eat civvy food and get poisoning or not enough calories/nutrients to keep going on exercise it can cause problems.

  • I'm sure it'll be fine for years to come. We used to be issued white chocolate mars bars years before anyone else thought of it, and it always tasted OK(ish).
