Army Rations

Options
Someone gave me a box (10 packs) of 24 hour army rations. On the side it's got printed "06/04"...is this the use by date or the manufacture date?
Thanks

So your friend in the army stole them and gave them to you?
There's too much of this thievery from the forces going on.
It's no wonder the lads and lasses in Afghanistan have crap kits.

my hubby always brought rations back from exercise - mostly because he hated them all and lived on noodles that he bought himself. Doesn't seem to me that anyone stole anything and I'm sure that ration packs are not on the top of anyones burglary list. They are blumin awful (although to be fair they probably taste better then any of my attempts at cooking! lol)
