    i had an epidural when i had my son but the ones i had in the back didnt leave me not being able to walk so they must be different.. i am sure they must have an idea of what to use cos if it was left to u to decide that would be all but impossible as u cant possibly decide that flat on your tum

    have to say it really helped me for many years and my friend has just had one and is chuffed with the ersults, as all things ifor some its good for others not so

    I had one but was just the same when the anaesthetic wore off.

  • Thanks everyone, i think i will go with my instinct and say no to this one - i know its only the fact that i don't want to take this huge cocktail of drugs forever that made me even think about it.

    is there anywhere we can discuss drugs, side effects, what others take for similar conditions etc... just in case i am missing anything (don't have the best gp) ?

  • :A hi jodie for a good forum and too see other peoples experiences, go to patientuk type in what you are searching for and look up patients experiences its a gr8 site where you will learn a lot about your problems and you will be able to discuss with people what u are going through, i hope this helps good luck let us know!

    Just for information about discussing medication, i found that the Pain Management Team at my hospital was so much better help than the gp. They worked out all the medications for me and have found them the best in getting the right 'concoction' for my circumstances. Maybe there is a Pain Management Team at your nearest hospital.
