I switch from BT to O2 broadband next Wednesday, does anyone know if I will still be able to access my old BT/Yahoo email via the Yahoo site using my old email and password? Thanks

Yes you can.
However, in about 90 days time you will get an email from BT (at your bt address) that you haven't accessed the BT pay as you go dial-up service (as your bband was cancelled your account would now show as dial-up) so your account will deactivate if you dont do so.
Obviously 90 days is plenty of time to get recipients etc made aware of your new o2 address.Waddle you do eh?0 -

Alternative call BT Yahoo and for £1.50 per month they will let you keep your old e-mail address.0 -
I have been paying BT the £1.50 to keep my old BT Email address for 9 months now. It works well.0

This is a money saving forum and your BT Yahoo e-mail doesn't work any better than Yahoo e-mail which is free! Paying £18 per year for e-mail is not very clever is it? Always use Non ISP e-mail accounts, makes switching ISP so much easier.
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Very true given the benefit of hindsight. However , not all of us possess 20/20 vision.0 -
You can create a Dialup Pay-As-You go internet account, dialup once every 90 days to keep the email account indefinitely.Yes you can.

BT Yahoo accounts are good because you can have 4 sub email addresses & also allow free POP access for an email program.
