Good morning my lovely DFW friends...thanks as usual to sophiesmum for starting this wonderful thread each day...and am loving the current race to be second!
Well, its snowing here, not too bad but its blooming chilly outside....apparently it feels like -5C or so says the weatherman! :snow_laug
Not a great deal for me today but I will/have:- Done washing at 30
- Will put on airer when dry
- Checked online banking
- On sofa with OH and a duvet watching TV at moment...fire is on but heating isn't!
- Won't be on all day either - going to OH's hometown later this afternoon for a night out
- It's about an hour and a half away - take a steady drive to conserve as much petrol as possible (plus roads won't be too good!)
- Pack weekend bag - am also going to be very good and leave purse at home - only taking the money I have budgeted for
- Bought some cheap drinks and nibbles in Tesco yesterday to have round OH friends before going out
- They live in the middle of town - walking distance rather than taxi distance - though not sure how cold it will be at 2am tomorrow morning! (If I last that long that is!)
- Find an old blanket to put over new rabbit hutch to keep frost off - much better than buying a new one
xxxxxJoint debt with OH at LBM Sept 08 (excluding mortgage & student loan) - £34,069

Let's see - today's plan is :
- combine trip to visit inlaws with visit to Asda to save petrol
- check online banking
- do some home baking (bread, biscuits, possibly cake) to keep impulse buying of sweets down
- sticking to meal plan, even though it was tempting to be lazy and do takeaway for tea tonight
- taking large wood beams down from fireplace and freecycling them
- putting a few other items on freecycle to clear out space in house before the holidays
- check quidco and cashbackkings
- prepare meal plan for next weekMSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
Hello all. Had a rough week moneysaving wise. Work has been rubbish, my Supervisor annoying, my girly time was particularly brutal and I wasted about £25 this week buying takeaway and comfort foods.
Anyway, back on track hopefully and today I have/will:
1) Joined the Payment a Day crew! Paid £1 to my Flexiloan, £1 to my ISA and £1 to my Credit card, which is mostly made up of the takeaway spends..lol.
2) Checked on line banking.
3) Eaten homemade bread for brekkie.
4) Check out xmas trees at Argos as i have a £5 voucher.
5) Meal plan for the week and do the corresponding weekly shop.
6) Use up veg from last week before it goes.
7) Have another Saturday night in.
8) Wii fit.
Have a good one!0 -
Hi Everyone
Feeling loads better now! Good enough to go shopping!!- We're off into central London to buy OH's sister a wedding present.
- I also need to find accessories for my dress - rather than buying a new dress (which is rather summery) I am going to try and accessorise it.
