On My 3rd W890i :(
After a trip to the seaside, i had to get a replacement w890i from orange, which turned out to have a problem and kept restarting. The next one then had a problem with the ariel and I had to get that one changed.. Now my most recent one has a problem with the back speaker and tonight packed in altogether, meaning my phone no longer rings..
I'm getting sick of this model of phone now, so was wondering, when i report this fault to orange, have i got any rights to demand a different model ? i know you can if you have the same fault 3 times but this is just becoming a joke..
all help appreciated..

I've been thinking of getting this handset, but have heard of many people experiencing the same problems as you so very unsure...Most of the problems seem to occur on 3 or Orange though so maybe down to their software causing conflict or reception issues..?
Are you on PAYG or contract? I know(from experience with W880i on Orange PAYG) that Orange are reluctant to do anything but send the phone away for repair or tell you to sort it out for yourself after you've had the handset for a certain period of time. Think they'll probably be more accomodating if you are on a contract with them.
Give them a ring & see what they'll do for you.:)0 -

Officially Orange will only off you a DMR (different model replacement) if you have the handset changed for the same fault 3 times.
All you can do is call them and keep going up the chain until you get to someone who can over ride the system (team leader etc.). I used to work as a csr, and it's a pain to sort, but the frontline staff are unable to bypass the computer, so please don't shout at them0 -
well they replaced with the same model, wouldn't budge on the whole "different model" thing.. here's hoping this one works..0
