No fear, this place is literally crawling with them. According to the rules of the site they should declare the fact they derive their livelihood from the energy industry every time they post on here but VERY few do. It really is appalling, tbh. But, of course, because this forum has sort of been run by some form of 'online cartel' where anybody who posts anything negative about the energy industry is usually accused of ranting and knowing nothing, people like myself who try and bring this to the attention of the forum get nothing but abuse. Tread carefully in this forum, you don't know who is here in an independent capacity or who is here in a sponsored capacity.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
I do think it's underhanded not to mention if you work for the energy industry. I'm beginning to wonder who else on this forum works for these energy companies and do not declare it!0

British Gas have just increased my DD from £59 a month to £80 - but didn't tell me. I thought this was against the law? I have written to them as I am nearly £200 in credit but just received a standard reply that doesn't answer my question.
However, I have kind of got my own back as I have just swtiched suppliers so they have lost my custom altogether. I doubt it will bother them with all their millions but it has given me some satisfaction!0 -
As I've said, several times on this thread, I don't work for an energy company and never have done. But I know that most people who complain about their DDs being too high are wrong.
Regarding Jeanoj's point, it's not breaking the law but it's a breach of the DD guarantee if they increase the amount they debit from your account without prior notification.0 -

Now I remember why I ignore your posts because you rant and rave and can't ever back up your statement. Show me where it says this and if it's the old link you've quoted before you should read it first.
Back on the ignore list ....0 -

And other daft comment. So you've obviously read all the comments from people who work for energy suppliers and seen that they're all tainted and corrupt and none of us help anyone.
We're also not entitled to be able to express views on an industry we know about and we're all 100% loyal to everything our emplyers do.

But what about situations like the one we're in now where prices increased significantly a couple of months ago? If it's not assessed to appropriateness debt builds very quickly over the winter and results in an even bigger increase whenever the review is.0 -

But when you post "There's absolutely nothing hidden about the Eon DD scheme, I've posted several times the principle of it which is very simple. Previous usage, current prices, add or subtract current balance, number of payments to next review date - easy isn't it? ", you need to understand that it counts for nothing. It is a near total waste of time you posting the principles of e.on's DD scheme precisely because you are here in a personal capacity - however much you post it, e.on are not themselves publishing it or putting their name to it. If you want to be useful here, get e.on to put it up on their website. After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?0
