Well my mum used the £5 off a £25 coupon today against her general shopping and it scanned no probs. She had not bought any toys or clothes so looks like it is fine :-)0

If i spend over £40 on clothing, can i use both the vouchers from the sun and the one from NOTW and receive a total of £20 off my bill?
ps is £40 spend with 20%off or do i have to make sure total is over £40 with 20%added
just to report back, bought a new coat (it's freezing outside)£40,20% off makes it £32
£10 and £5 clothing/toy vouchers,£5 NOTW voucher used so total paid for my lovely coat :j :j :j :j
£12 , THANKS TO STOOPID FOR PUTTING ME RIGHT.0 -
Where are you ppl shopping?!
I am in London. The stores seem hell bent against letting the £10 voucher through UNLESS it is on clothing and or toys.
Tescos would simply not accpet my £10 voucher, earlier on today I had actually spent £44 on clothes and the cashier scanned the £5 one first, meaning the price dropped to £39 and the £10 off £40 would then not scan, and she would not take off the £5 coupon as it apparently was not possible.
and the second one my friend spent £25 on clothes and the rest on her food, total bill was £56. She tried the £10 voucher first (after hearing what happened to me she wanted to get them both off!) and they would not accept the voucher- they said she had not spent enough on clothes or toys, but they would however let the £5 one through.
Another friend was not allowed to use it on clothes despite spending £20 (she was after the cashmere jumper). They told her it was not enough, that she needed to spend a further £5 on clothes or toys.
Am I and my friends just unlucky here? or are others in a similar boat?0 -

Original price £40 each
All cashmere reduced to £25
Less 20% discount £10
Less NOTW £5
Less 2 Sun coupons £15
I did this today too but gave in 2 of the £5 sun clothing vouchers as the original total was £50.

I am really sorry to hear you are having problems.
I think like a lot of the Boots glitches, a lot of our "luck" is down to the sa.
These glitches obviously DO work - as so many people are reporting back, but it is up to the sa to even bother to TRY the coupons.
SA I had today did do a double take when £20 came off, and probably he would have questioned it.....BUT
It was a busy Saturday morning, where I was struggling to find a parking space, and was virtually mugged for my trolley !!:rotfl:
So, he reluctantly let it go. Probably during a quiet time I may not have been so lucky
Other one to try is spot the saturday staff....I love them. Male or female, most are sat there bored out of their skull, and don't give a flying fig. If the till accepts it, who are they to question it
Also, I did buy quite a few bits of clothing so it wasn't blatently obvious.
I think the t&c do state "not to be used with any other offer" etc, so strictly speaking if sa says NO to using more than one of these coupons, they are only doing their job.
My motto is if you don't try you never know, and if it does get rejected, ( like all moc) smile politely and try again later.
Good luck, and heres hoping the NOTW has coupons today0 -

Thanks for the messages- think it is just my bad luck- I was wary they could get refused, so chose the SA I thought I could chat to, hoping they would work in my favor. No chance- I think had she not scanned the £5 voucher first and bought my shopping down to £39, the £10 would have worked- as she scanned the £10 off £40 spend when my bill had been reduced to what was below £40, the till refused it.
I went to customer services, explained how annoyed I was she did not scan both in the correct order and could I have a refund and start again but they refused, saying that it was already in the system and I was not able to get a refund.
Did try again today- bought a cahsmere jumper and then loads of food for the week. Bill was over £50. The £10 voucher just would not scan through- even when the SA typed in the number. She then read the coupon and explained to me it had to be on clothes or toys and had to be at least £40. Took off the jumper and left the voucher at the till. This was a different branch of Tescos then yesterday btw.
Am taking back what I bought tomorrow, obviously Tescos do not value my trade as much as other peoples. Will spend my cash somewhere else. Seen a nice Barbie doll in Waitrose which I am sure my niece would prefer over some new clothes for christmas!0
