  • quote...so, let me try and get my head round this one:confused:
If i spend over £40 on clothing, can i use both the vouchers from the sun and the one from NOTW and receive a total of £20 off my bill?
ps is £40 spend with 20%off or do i have to make sure total is over £40 with 20%added

just visited Tesco I spent just £1 over the £40 and before 20% off and used the £10 sun voucher which worked fine and the NOTW and 20% came off however £5 off sun voucher would not register however nice assistant took the money off so did get £20 off, this was using Self service
  • Bought 10 copies of the Mirror today (all paid by Guardian vouchers..at my local post office)

Then went to Asda and bought 10x6pack Seabrook crisps)...kids should be happy for the next few days

Bought 2 express so I had 2 vouchers, for 2 free calendars.....
But, there was a sel showing one for £2.25 2 for £2.50 - I think it was, or might have been £2.99.
Anyway, kicking myself as it would probably have been cheaper to get 2 calendars in Superdrug and use one voucher, rather than buying 2 papers !
    Does that make sense ?!
So if you are going in with ONE voucher - see if it is worth getting a much discounted second one while you are there !!

So did you spend the extra few pence and come out with FOUR advent calendars ?

    Unfortunately not !!
    1) I was so busy trying to make the best MSE use of my Saturday, that I wasn't fully awake when I went into SD, and it was only on the way out that I focussed on the sels. When SD have these freebies on a Saturday, you risk being "too late, all gone" So I did a quick dash to Tesco express to get papers cheap using mocs;) first thing, and then onto SD. Then onto Tesco to use all the lovely big MOC:D
    2) Offer sels were not on the Simpson ones I got, but on the disney ones (Pooh, High school etc) which I don't think would have gone down well with my lads.
If I had spotted the link offer on the way in, and had more time available, I would have checked if the Simpson one was also in the linked offer.

    C'est la vie !!

    NOT FAIR:
my tescos would not let me use both vouchers- infact, they only let me use one. 3 guesses as to which.

Spent £44 instore on clothes, got the £5 voucher off, but not the £10, because the cashier put through the £5 voucher, meaning my £44 became £39. She then could not scan or type in the £10 off £40 spend.

Asked if she could refund and start again "...once its in the system,....." so I went to customer service desk and complained but they refused as well, saying it was in the system, could not be refunded......

    AAAAAGHHHHH!

Called up tesco by phone, they issued me with a good will e coupon, but I don't want to use an e-coupon! I want to use cash! Tesco.com have delivery charges that the store don't have! NOT FAIR!!

Seems to vary from store to store.

I bought 2 cashmere jumpers plus other shopping and managed to use £10 & £5 from the Sun plus £5 NOWT voucher.

Other half bought a couple of half price toys for the Christmas child appeal totalling £40.50 and the SA said he could only take the £10 voucher, as he had only spent just over £40.

Couldn't work this out as it was the same SA that served me. The only other possible answer could be that the original full price of the jumpers was £78 which would cover both the £40 and £25 spend but this is shown on the till receipt so I am not sure.

Anyway, he got his toys for half price and a further £10 discount so he was pleased with that.

I really hope so, because what with all these Tesco vouchers I have just about paid for christmas.
I got some lovely new clothes for kids yesterday and today which I wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise - There is even a pair of trousers and a jumper for me. :j
I normally have to buy my stuff from ebay and the local charity shops. But thanks to these vouchers, new clothes at Tescos are working out cheaper than the charity shop :T
