it's stored on the modem, when you plug it into a new pc it will give you the option to Install the software0

i have the older one with the cable in between and it doesnt hold the software :S0

which modem is it that you have, the only one that I can think of with the cable in between is the e220 and even that one stores the software on the modem0

Yes, my e220 has the software on it.
I recently flashed it with Three Australia's firmware and software. It has made it a fair bit more stable over the generic Three UK firmware :-)0 -
that sounds like the 160g/169 series doesnt it load a virtual cd on my computer.have a look here for the software.

Morning everyone!
Can anyone throw light on this. Long story short (I hope). Purchased a 3 modem in April 08. £35/mth. Found access to the internet v/slow and constantly dropping off. Converting scans to email format also slow, i.e. 15-20 minutes plus. Discovered after consulting 3 engineers by phone, carrying out various tests suggested by them, including download speedtests and cust/services by letter that the cell site was degraded and was not scheduled for imminent upgrades. As I have to send (sometimes legal), documents to Australia, I require reliable internet access. At the time I could not access land line broadband. After v/many frustrations of dropping off line and waiting for email conversions for ever, I decided to fork out extra and obtain lind line email. Much better. As 3 have admitted that cell site degradation exists and that they advertise fast reliable broadband, does this constitute to a breach of contract by 3, as I am now in an argument with them as to severing the broadband connection.
