Porting number to O2 with Phones4U website?
Just wondering if it would be possible to port to O2 using the phones4u website, their website states:
but I understand that with O2 you ring up their CS once you've bought the phone and give them your PAC details so how would they know who you bought it from? Is it just phones4u being awkward or do they use a different billing system like O2 CPW which means you're not able to transfer your number across to them?Unfortunately we cannot arrange to Port your number on Vodafone and O2 for website sales.

It does not matter because they (o2) just need your PAC code and the number you wanted to transfer. At least it happens to me.0 -
will changing your number not affect a cashback deal ...if you're going for such0

hmmm, good point...although I think I previously had a cashback deal with P4U and I ported my number across from another network.0

i was about to sign up to a deal on phones4u and port my number to o2 but after reading that bit im not so sure anymore, is it possible to port it yourself after receiving the sim card and will that cancel the cashback deal?0

Voda don't allow you to change your number by pac code after the start of your contract any way. . .0

porting onto payg with o2 is really straightforward- trust me i have done it many times
porting onto contract with o2 is really straightforward too, if you got your contract from o2 or cpw store it is easy as anything, only possible issue is with cashback deals as they may need to use the number that came with the contracts to check payments are being made although really their billing system should go off an account number rather than a mobile number.
sorry......geek momentthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok
