Ironically this was posted on the Shop but don't drop board.
Perhaps more a case of Shop and drop (dead through poisoning).......0 -

You cannot post such an open statement! Not all places do this. I worked in a meat factory and this never happened.ginger_nuts wrote:what customers dont realise is food factorys redate food all the time .Well when the vet is not watching . So if you buy beef or chicken it could be weeks old .You cant tell .Its my job to redate beef when the vets not watching .
This could be just where you work.0 -
Nasty business, but I have to say in busy supermarkets how many times have you seen people just dump frozen/chilled on the nearest shelf and walk off. I NEVER EVER buy from the front or top of display, I always rummage around for the very cold stuff.
Also when ever I buy a Joint of Meat or Poultry on the morning I am going to cook it I leave it in a covered bowl in clean water with some salt added. The only supermarket I have had problems with has been Tesco, with stuff that was delivered out of date, and complaint procedure was a joke.My Mind wanders, if found please return.0 -
I had chicken breasts from Asda last Autumn that were within the date and kept in my fridge until opening but smelt putrid, stunk the whole house out when opened. I binned it and just took the wrapper back. They refunded it and gave me £2 I think it was for my trouble. Put us off chicken for ages. We only have one butcher left in town now and it's over £3 to park so I don't go down there very often.0

took a joint back to Asda, it was off but in use by date. was about £8 worth.
They gave me the £8 back in cash and said pick £8 worth of meet.
On Adsa own brand they will give back 200% even if you dont like it i think.
Says something about it on the packet.0
