all low paid jobs like this are hard. the snobbery surrounding it is what gets my goat. all this 'get a proper job'. the attitude of some STINKS!0

My local one is brilliant, service is fab and I cant fault them. We dont go often, but when we do the staff cant do enough. They always get a nice tip from us.
Cue Freddy Snowbits now to call it "muppet food"....0 -
We have several locally but I think the best I've visited locally is Basingstoke (Brighton Hill). I think one reason you may have been kept waiting is the kitchen rather than waiting staff. When I was there recently (buffet lunch) we had great service at the table but kitchen staff seemed very slow to anticipate what was likely to run out at buffet. It's not my restaurant of choice but the grandaughters like it.0

try working as a waiter / waitress for 1 night before b1tching about minor things.
So dirty cutlery that could carry pathogens that could make an elderly person very ill is a minor thing???
Crikey, your life must be a scary thing! :rolleyes:If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got.

I agree with you, but I simply don't see what your point has to do with whether Pizza Hut is a good place to go to or not. I have not seen one person, whether pro- or anti-Pizza Hut, in this thread be snobbish or suggest restaurant staff 'get a proper job', so why did you even post this?0 -
Been to 2 Pizza Huts recently (Aintree and Warrington). Service was awful in both. Tables not cleaned, takes forever to get service, no-one gives you the bill so you have to go the till.
To be fair, the Warrington one was being renovated and appeared short staffed. So the service wasn't surprising. But the one in Aintree always seems to have an abundance of staff, they just don't seem to have a clue (we are/were regulars there but avoid it now). I wonder if it's the staff or the manager.. surely if you can see a load of upset customers you should be working out what's going on and addressing it, and briefing your staff appropriately.
Besides, I can think of worse places (Argos at Christmas with their 'serve customer who shouts their number out loudest first' attitude to queueing).

The Pizza hut in Southampton West Quay is usually very good... and very busy! but the one in Portswood is only good if you know the staff... otherwise they don't give 2 hoots! Although last time I went they forgot our Nachos so they ended up being free (when we finally got them) and we already had martin's 50% off voucher!!Kavanne
Nuns! Nuns! Reverse!

most staff paid little more than minimum wage, so dont expect too much entusiasm- maybe 2nd job for a few / most of them..
speak to / write to branch manager- they are only ones really with any sway, and should be training / monitoring staff properly.Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0
