I had the same sort of situation. Norwich Union who were insuring the first car on a full NCB with me as the policy holder and OH as the named driver offered an initial 40 per cent discount on the second car. This was with OH as policy holder and me as named driver on the basis that OH had lots of years without claims on the original policy. I then used this offer quoting these percentages to get a much cheaper deal through a local broker.

Hi - try Quinn Direct who allow a sizeable discount on an additional car if you already have one car on full no claim discount. They are particularly cheap for Third Party Fire & Theft cover.

They are a well established Irish company now operating in the UK.

Hope they save you money !

Just a couple of things to be careful of with an introductory discount for a second car.

The bottom line is how much your premium costs. i.e. giving 30% off a base £600 premium is not as good as 20% off a £500 premium.

At the end of the first year you will have only earned a 1 year NCB. Check(and get in writing) what your total % discount will be for the next year's premium.

Some companies drop the introductory discount for the second year's premium and will just give 1 years NCB. Others will give both discounts.
