Tescos xmas items greatly reduced (merged)

Just back from Tesco after reading posts about stuff being reduced to 1p, met a friend who works their while I was filling my trolley who told me to hurry up and pay for the stuff as she had just been told by her bosses to take all the stuff off the shelves as they were not going to be sold for that price. She kindly opened a checkout for me and put my stuff through but by that time the other stuff was already being taken off.

I visited the big Peterborough Tesco tonight where they had the Tesco value boxes of Christmas crackers for 10p, the normal boxes of Christmas crackers for 20p, boxes of cards for 10p and loads of decorations for 10p. They also had packs of 20 gifttags priced at 10p but that went thorugh the till for 1p!

Small chilly beanies = 46p
Box of 9 glass baubles = 61p
20 gift tags = 19p
Tree gift tags = 19p
Pink overnight bags (inc. bath essence,body lotion, fragranced bath fizzer and body mop) = £1.48
Gingham ladies pj's were £6.00... reduced to £4.00 and they came up at the till = £3.00
Also they have a premier 5MP digital camera for = £39.97

Just back from our Tesco Extra - 10 pack Christmas cards 10p - Value Wrap Christmas paper (5m red and white) 5p per roll. I bought 10 but there were loads left. The cashier told me the value crackers were reduced to 10p a pack but when I went back they were all gone.

It looks like they were trying to clear the shelf to put new stock out - great bargains!

Oh the Sales clothes were also up to 75% off - I bought a beautiful cream skirt with beads and crystals for £3. My OH bought a 100% cashmere jumper for £15.
