Anyone have experience with Dialaphone PAYG?

Hi,
I'm thiking of ordering a PAYG from Dialaphone as they are offering it quite a bit cheaper than elsewhere. What i was wondering is what they mean by this:
All pay-as-you-go phones are sold on the understanding that any call charge credit shipped on the SIM card will be used by the customer within 60 days of date of receipt. In the event that the credit is not used, Dial-a-Phone reserve the right to debit a provisioning charge of £30 via the customers original method of payment.

My friends bought one you see and then she got an email with this info added onto the end of it, does anyone have experience of this? And does this mean i won't be able to use my existng sim card in it?

Thanks :)

All it means is that if you buy a PAYG phone from them, and it comes with any call credit time already on the SIM when it arrives, that you must use all of this call time within 60 days of receiving the handset in order to avoid te charge mentioned. So just be sure that if there is any call time on the SIM card when it arrives, that you use it within 60 days. If there is no time already loaded onto the SIM when it arrives, then there's no need to worry anyway.

Dialaphone probably get cashback from the network when you activate the SIM. This might enable them to sell the handset at a cheaper rate to you. If you don't use the credit on the SIM, then Dialaphone might not get their cashback from the network. Hence they wish to recover it from you.

i think that the problem they are trying to deal with is when people buy payg handsets and use them with other sim cards.
when a dealer sells as payg handset they get paid a connection fee from the network, if the handset is not connected by the nuyer or perhaps if the network can easily see that the nadset is not being used as a payg handset on their network they have the right to clawback the fee that they paid the retailer.
this condition from dialaphone means that if they loose their commision from the network then they intend to get that money back from you (since the price that they sell the handset is based on the commison they wil get)

NB: this is a suggestioned explantion

    Thanks guys :)

Does this mean that after i have used the loaded call time i can put my existing O2 payg sim in it, or do i have to use the sim they provided?

Just use whatever SIM they provided with the handset to make your outbound calls until all of the credit, if there was any on it when they despatched it to you, is used up.
