T-mobile offer £2/day, or £10/7days or £20/30 days
You also need to buy the USB dongle modem (around £50)

3 offer a prepaid 24GB of data pack, which will remain active until either 24GB of data is used - or 24 months.
This costs £179 (including dongle)- which works out at £7.50/month if it lasts for 24 months.

With monthly subscription options, watch out for additional charges if you go over a certain data limit (Three's £10/month 1GB service will charge you £100 for the second GB of data!! - the two different options above avoid unknown billing situations as you prepay and can't receive a bill).
It is really worth trying to ask around friends/work etc to ask if anyone has any kind of dongle on any network and testing signal strength. Some people have had real problems. Very local factors (walls, buildings etc) seem to be good at making big differences to signal strengths.0 -
3 MBB is also available on a PAYG basis - you just purchase the dongle, and then you just need to purchase top-ups which are then valid for 30 days.
