Mine do the same as well, not sure why.

My Maplin ones appear identical (apart from the price grr) the left side of the remote is labelled `on/off`, the right `dimmer`. Pressing the right side of a switch does nothing.
I wondered a few posts ago if anyone had seen dimmer switches to use with this device.

I Managed to bag one fo tehses today it doesnt come under there normal 14 days guarantee though although you still have your statory rights.

I left the blasted thing in car this afternoon and its a walk to get back to car so I wait until tommorow when I take it for its MOT, hope it passes
