Can anyone please advise? we ordered and payed for a table and chairs from Harveys on boxing day price £399.00 plus £32.50 delivery, today we went in Homebase and there was a table and 6 chairs very similar for £197.00!!!
I was gutted so thought i would try and see if i could get my money back from Harveys, they said at first i would have to have something else?? if i didnt want the table so i said i wanted a refund he said i would have to pay a minimum of 10% if i wanted to cancel and he said he couldnt give me a refund until tuesday when head office is open, trouble is Homebase have only 9 tables left and there offer finishes monday,
Can anyone tell me what i should do??
Thanks if you can.

Sorry but you don't have any rights at all if you've changed your mind about the Harveys table, because you've seen cheaper elsewhere.
I'm not aware of Harveys refund policy, but if there is nothing stated in store or on your reciept about refunds on change of mind, then they don't have to offer you anything. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Their cancellation policy applies online only.
It is of course 7 days from delivery, as they're legally obliged to do this under the DSR.
IMHO, buying from Harveys is not MSE-wise.
They appear to stretch the law to it's extreme in terms of previous prices, sale reductions etc. The only company I've seen who are worse for this is MFI (apart from the late un-lamented Courts)
Barge pole a Harveys touch wouldn't I withBritish Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
ok thanks i didnt think we had any chances apart from on the back of the invoice it states about cancelling and has a box to sign, customer signature and salesperson signature,
it is headed ,
Agreement of service terms,
and this wasnt shown to us or signed,
my be able to argue on that one, but think it could be a waste of our time.0
