Glad you got some cash in the end.

Not good news about the clutch, it does sometimes feel like one thing after another doesn't it. Have you got a quote for the repairs yet?

If he is self employed does he have any insurance for when his car is off the road and no takings? No idea if these even exists so excuse me if I'm in the completely wrong ball park.

Got a quote for £340 on the clutch and no the insurance he has got doesn't cover him for this, only if the car is off road due to an accident, then he can get a replacement car temporary and loss of earnings are recovered.

Ahh I see, I thought there was something but didn't know what it actually covered.

£340 sounds quite a good price but then not if you haven't got the cash. Is there any family he could borrow it off short term to get his taxi back on the road?

My Dad has said he will borrow us the money short term, but I feel really guilty because I know he is struggling as well.
Sooner its done though, the sooner he can get back on the road and earning some pennies!

    Thats good then.

I know its horrible borrowing money from people but like you said least this way it will get his taxi back on the road and then you can pay him back.
