Fed up today!

So much for my think happy thoughts idea!

I'm so fed up today it's unbelievable! I'm so fed up of having no money and worrying all the time!

I haven't eaten since dinnertime yesterday as I have no money and nothing at home except a few things but I would rather save them for DS to eat. To top it all I have got a 6 mile walk home tonight from work because I can't afford the bus!

Oh and yesterday I got a letter from A&L demanding I pay back £106 by today latest on my current account! oh happy days!

    Sounds like a crap day.

Is there anyone you know that you could go to their house for a chat and they might offer you some dinner while you're there?

Unfortunately no one lives in my direction and I really wish I could eat but the cupboards are literally bare at the minute, and I need to somehow buy my other DS some baby milk as he has run out today!

Have you asked Social Services if there is any chance of emergency finances or food pack?

Called the Sally Army as they may have food packs as well?

Asked you employer for an advance?

Do Social Services help even if your not on benefits?

I can't ask employer or even let them know i'm in financial difficulty as that could result in me losing my job all together as it is in finacial services, so i'd rather not risk it.

I will find out about sally army though thanks

  • Tinka - food for you and your children has to be top priority!

Do you have friends / family you can call on?
  • Tinka,
I have been fortunate enough never to have bare cupboard (although its been close sometimes!). And every week my mum send me over a few groceries (basics like potatos etc). Have you any family you can call on?

  • I really feel for you.. is there no-one at work you could confide in? I know it's embarrassing but if someone confided in me they were in your situation I would have no qualms giving them a bit just to get past today. I've been in the situation in the past where a lovely lady used to bring me in fruit and sandwiches as she knew I couldn't afford to eat.

If not try and clear your mind of the worry for today if nothing can be done today and enjoy the walk home... I'm sure you'll get through this!!

I haven't got any friends really just people I work with and both our families are struggling with bills and unemployment as well so its not a good time for any of us unfortunately. Going to give social services and salvation army a ring in a min off the works phone!
