Another ripoff from worlds unfriendliest airline

I've got an electron card, and bought what I thought was a 2 pence flight. Now it turns out that they expect me to pay extra for the bus to the airport! And yet more money for my in-flight wine! And they even expect me to pay for scratchcards!
I feel cheated.0 -
On a semi serious point, how can they be advertised for free when you need to pay 1p? I think paying 1p for a flight when it is advertised for free is such a RIP OFF!
If they were really free then you wouldn't need to put in credit card details. umm- go figure!0 -
I think the point is that while the price of £8.02 is very fair, there is some slight of hand going on. It is advertised as a free flight, if it is free there is no need for a card and as such no handling fee. By putting it to 1p they are necessitating a payment, which for most people will not be with an electron card.
It is their right to make the charges that the feel appropriate, that is business and they do not offer bad prices, but the difference between the free, which is advertised, and the 1 p, makes a bigger difference and does appear to be a trick or slight of hand to try and get in more money.
A lot of people do have electron cards, but a lot more people do not, it is a card held by only a minority of people, and whatever we think of RyanAir, we know that they choose a card that was the least popular, as if the handling charge was on ALL card, then the advertising they were putting out would have been against relevant advertising standards, (due to the need to show the inclusive prices).
If they had advertised at 1p per flight then at least it would have allowed a more honest representation as most of us know about the handling charge.0 -
I wonder why Argos got it's own board.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

How is it "another rip-off"? It's the same (alleged) rip-off that appears at least twice a week from people who can't resist pressing the "book" buttonAnother ripoff from worlds unfriendliest airline0 -

In that case the so called "free flights" offer is only for a minority
Would it be worth all the trouble to get one anyway?
You seem to think its worth the trouble to post yet another complaining about Ryan Air thread when you might be better to actually take the trouble to get an Electron card.0
