Just got mine from the pcworld site, from the posting last Friday 26/11/04. ;D
Thanks to the orginal poster, can't find it cos it's been buried.

I see Game are only offering the new PS2 as a bundle (on their web site at least) pushing the price over £200 - what a con!

I guess Game are doing it to stop people buying just to put on eBay. Thing is, it'll put off legit buyers too!
One thing I'd really hate....is to have a nail banged through the back of my neck.

I think when the dust has settled after this we should remember who the rip-off merchants (e.g. Game) are, and who are the honest dealers.
It seems a number of companies have decided to use the shortage to screw a few extra quid out of their customers.
I for one won't be buying anything off Game in future, unless it is a real bargain.

To be fair, all credit to them. They know there is a shortage and raised their prices - it is what any clever businessman / company would do!! Although it's bad for us consumers, you can't really blame them.
The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)

I didn't say I blamed them - just that I'd remember who they were!

Surely genuine MSE'rs would never buy from GAME anyay. My son and I always go in and look as we are passing, but never buy anything. There is often a queue of what I call "mugs" buying anything and everything at inflated prices! People like us do their homework more and don't get ripped off!
I expect that Game will not last more than a few more years in its present form.

They will be here for ages as they actually have some good offers, trade in 5 games get a new one for 99p or sega eyetoy & game for £20 while its £40 on play. Wouldn't buy anything not on offer but the 'mugs' will as they aren't mse'rs!

Boots have cancelled my order again for delivery tomorrow even though again i was told it would be here (have this in writing). Can't e-mail them, CS can't do anything and they don't reply to letters ::) Just gonna have to get one from game :o (it was for a birthday over 2 weeks ago and i promised it him)

I would love to hear if anyone gets a PS2 from boots, either the driver 2 bundle or the eyetoy bundle by the way ;)
    :j :j
  • I'm also interested in if people get their ps2's from boots. I got one a few weeks back and now my account on their website has changed from the order being delivered back to "Order being processed". It'd be nice to get another one!

I ordered mine from Currys this morning at about 7:30am, they have sent me two emails but not the third, do they normally take this long to send you the third email? I ordered when they had loads in stock first thing this morning!

I ordered mine from Curry's at 5:30 yesterday morning. Got 2nd email at 6:01, then a third email at 15:12 telling me it had been dispatched.
Using Securicor's tracking it was put on the delivery van at 12:18 today, but hadn't been delivered by the time I left work at 5:00!
Presumably it'll be there waiting for me when I arrive in the morning.
