My dear Dr watson we have a case or miss identity.
Items sold different and place of purchase different.
Nice work detective but wrong conclusion!
Don't give up th day job!
If its not you then sorry...
You have to admit its strange that the ebay item did not sell for the second time then you (same user name) offered it here within hours.
The ebay guy has three 17" TFT's unsold:

And hey whats the chance of that, you purchased the same model:

The spirit of blatant profiteering by Snowboarder747 ?This used to be a pleasant forum but as with everything connected with money, the greed and nastiness come out in the end.
Snowboarder has very fairly offerred a Playstation 2 at cost plus postage to anyone who still hasn't got one for xmas, it DOES NOT matter that it was unsold on ebay.
Will posters please stop being so vindictive, after all snowboarder will simply return it to the shop/retailer and get back what he/she paid for it if no-one wants it.
Where did the spirit of this forum AND Christmas go?
game set and match to kudos1uk ;D

playstation 3 will be available at early 2006 about february, so basically when the playstaion 3 comes out no one will care for the ps2, only second rate developers will still be making games for it. this is what exactly happend to the newly designed PSone, eveyone got whipped up into a frenzy but developers only had eyes for the playstaion 2.
sure if your a gamer who does not have much time and wants a game console with a huge game back catologue and does not want to splash out on a expensive new playstation 3 (could be £200- £400) the ps2 is the console for you.
but then again, come 14 months when the ps3 will be all over the tv, the ps2 will look like an antique.
also the new handheld playstaion will be out in march which will have the same graphical power as the ps2 also it will be able to play mp3s and movies.
here is a little feature on the psp

hope i helped
and i am not a salesman for playstation
The PSOne did not appeal to me much, as I had the original PlayStation and, like many others had it 'chipped'. This was so easy to do in the original PlayStation everyone was doing it. In the end most places were only charging £10 - £15 for installation. The PSone didn't appeal to many people as it was just the same package in a slightly smaller form
The PSTwo will appeal a lot more as it actually has some useful features, i.e Infrared and ethernet built in, a very quiet fan and a top loading mechanism (Although I have to admit I liked the tray option better). Not to forget the huge reduction in size compared to the original PS2.
Also the new console seems much easier to repair, as everything is hard wired to the main circuit board so a simple swap of 1 circuit board should get a broken PSTwo as good as new. Some may dislike this change but to be honest, who opens their PS2 on a daily basis? :P0 -
i make 3 goals to nil...... ;Dsmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Sorry Holmes - I guess its another case of mistaken identity, thought you were Watson! (A story in its prime before my time, forgive my ignorance!) :-[
You are very good, however your powers of deduction have failed to pick up one vital piece of evidence the item was being sold prior to my purchase. ;D
Doesn't make economic sense to sell if can’t meet the demand. Unless you want to falsely inflate the market, which brings us nicely back to the PS2.
Sorry I have got to leave it there, thanks enjoyed!

By the time the PS3 comes out in February 2005 (assuming the ship can get through the Suez Canal of course
) Sony will already be half way through developing the PS4, so you might as well wait for that to come out in about late 2007. Of course, by late 2007 Sony will be working on the PS5 so you might as well..... etc. etc. and so on ad infinitum.
Personally I can't see the point of constantly waiting for something "better" to come out - because my kids will have left home by then, and I won't have had anything to play on in the meantime.
Cheers

Re: Kinster
Does that mean the prices on ebay have dropped?
My offer was and is genuine. I thought the purpose of a forum was to develop a community that offers help and support. NOT to ridicule and take the proverbial.
I was always taught if you haven’t got anything constructive to say then don’t say anything!
I say what I like. My reply mentions that prices must have dropped, so it has helped the moneysavers on this forum, meaning they can haggle or get a good/better deal. You'll Never Be Rich Working for Someone Else0
