I too went in game today, and could not beleive my eyes at the price of the bundles, and that people were paying it!!

Hang on for two months and they'll be everywhere! And much cheaper. If it wasn't for Christmas being 1 week away. I'm still going to wait.......its not worth breaking your back to get one.

They are not very likely to go under £80 let alone under £100 in the next few months. You only have to look at how long the previous version of PS2 held their price for 2 years or so - even when there were two better gaming machines available in my opinion. But even this depends on how you view better - PS2 greatest choice of games, XBOX miles better machine but behind PS2 in availability of games (now catching fast) and gamecube - faster processer than ps2 but doesn't play DVD or have same choice of games.
I think anybody holding their breath for a cheaper PS2 will wait a long time.

When boots had their triple points on you could effectively have purchased these for approximately £82 using the 10% code and getting the equivalent of £12.60 back in advantage points to spend in store. ;D

Fair point Howdie but my point is really about the way Sony have achieved a marketing success yet again - this time by having a ship stuck in the Suez Canal creating a shortage of rebranded PS2s which of course everyone wants because they can't get them.

I am starting to sound like a Sony Marketing Dept worshipper - maybe they'll give me a job.

I still hold to what I said about them being unlikely to bring the price down but we will of course, find ways to offset some of the price with discount vouchers, advantage points etc.

Thats one of the good things about this site - money I could've saved if I got my act together earlier!!!
