I managed to pick-up a ps2 slim with Madcatz Essential Gaming pack from Currys for £149.

Can anybody confirm that the DVD remote with this pack definitely works with the PS2 slim?

I think 24 is max stock per order - still showing as 24 in stock but there may be more - delivery as standard is now only by 27th Dec unless £5.50 next day delivery charge is added.

I believe the shops are due major stocks before christmas so boots may not be the best option anymore - still can't believe the rip of profiteerors who are utilising e-bay :-/ :-/ :-/

Triple points has finished but you can still use the 10% code. This seems to be the old black style and not the new silver ones.

Sorry for my ignorance but why is there suddenly a shortage of PS2. They have been around for a couple of years now.

Its the new slimline ones that everybody is after mate.  Do exactly the same job, just on a smaller scale and have a network card installed  :-/

Saw one on ebay today, starting price of £400 and buy it now £1000

Oh so what does everyone do with their old one. Surely if you wanted a PS2 so badly you would have bought one by now?

Guess its the same old story, just think if you wanted to but an ipod most people could just get a 1st or 2nd gen version, but the majority would want the latest even though it does the same thing!!

Kids probably only want the slimeline for Christmas as the old one is considered a 'brick' now!!

Talking about Rip of Profiteerors, my local GAME store is selling the Slim PS2 with two games and a chepo extra controller for £195 !!!! Also a 5 game package (albeit with new games) for £304 !!!!!!
