Sky upgrade.......advice please.thankyou.

Hiya. bit of background info for you..........
We have been with Sky for many years and have the following with them:.....

1, We have the top sky broadband package available ( our house runs 4 pcs and 1 lappy) 2 pcs are wired and 2 pcs and the lappy are wireless...

2, line rental from them
3, phonecalls from them
4, have sky + in living room ( have all channels Except sports).
5, have multi - room aswell.
6, have a 2nd "bog standard" sky box in our room. (not sky + thou)
7, Have a bog standard to go into our daughters room.
***** our monthly sky bills are around 100-110.00 a month!.*****

Now, heres the dilema....
On our sky boxes (any of them), we dont have the function on menu page for " anytime tv". ....

Now, was at my friends whom live 5 doors away. they have
sky + in living room, and in 3 bedrooms aswell.
have the function of "anytime tv" on ALL 4 sky boxes in there house.
No sky broadband, calls or any other items from sky!..


Hubby called sky and asked how can we not able to have the extra function and how can we get a upgrade to allow all bedrooms to get sky + installed....... they quoted us 150.00 each box Plus 60.00 per box, per installation. ..... We even told them, we are thinking of cancelling and going elsewhere, but still they wont budge!!!. argggg...

We cant go with virgin media, as cable is not available round here. Nor will we go to bt broadband, they wre rubbish, hence changing to sky!!

Any advice please.... or the best way to complain as we feel we are not gettin the quality or qwanity of service which we are paying for.!!

Any phone numbers to "higher" people, or any advice when calling them, will be fantastic.

Anytime is only available on the latest Sky+ boxes, they have a larger harddisk drive that is partitioned in order to store the anytime programme selection.
You could always try buying a modern Sky + box off ebay or the like.
Its your hardware that is the limiting function so you will have to buy new equipment.

you need a pvr 3 box, not 2 or even 2.5 (

You can get Sky+ boxes off Ebay for around £50 and install yourself its a 2 min job if you already have Sky+ installed, then just sell the old box on Ebay to get most of your money back

Not only would you need new sky boxes if you are after Sky+ in all 4 room you will need an Octo LNB similar to this
