Then he's been a bit of a muppet, then, hasn't he? :rolleyes:littlepinkstars44 wrote: »He knows what i've done, he told me to do it
It's not the hardest thing in the world for a large financial institution to check whether or not someone really is employed, especially if they have reason to be curious, like a lot of recent credit applications...
You really, really, really need to do what the others said - wait at least six months before applying for anything again, and then tell the ABSOLUTE TRUTH.
You also need to save up a fair amount of money before moving into a place of your own, as well as having a decent income, as you will have a lot more to pay for than you do now.

I have read instances on MSE where CC companies have called the 'employer' and just asked if they work there as a random check. they don't ask anything else, as that's breaking the Data Protection Act, but can ask if they work there.

I know, i've been on my own before, plus don't pay council tax as i am a studentElizabethJH wrote: »I think you need to put thoughts moving out on hold until you have paid off your debts and your BF has a full time job. The cost of Council Tax, Elec, Gas, Water Rates etc is ridiculous let alone saving up a deposit and the normal couple of months rent that a place wants. Get yourself into a good position and then think about it seriously. They might do a credit check but I've got really bad credit and still passed their tests!! I don't have CCJ's though!0 -
But is your boyfriend a student? If not, you wouldn't be totally exempt from council tax, unless you lied to them as well.....0
